From Press Sheet: (97k .GIF of Press Sheet)

He can't marry you or bury you -- but The Reverend Horton Heat is the irrefutable outlaw pontiff of punkabilly -- eternally committed to baptizing you in the murky waters of searing surf-metal guitar, slapped-silly bass, and demonic drums. Swaggering straight out of the black heart of Texas with his latest release and Time Bomb Recordings debut, Spend A Night In The Box, The Reverend Horton Heat makes his rebellious return to ripped-raw, raucous rock n' roll.

Recorded just 30 miles outside of Austin, TX at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Studios and produced by Butthole Surfer's guitarist, Paul Leary -- Spend A Night In The Box, the band's sixth release offers up a whole mess of razor sharp, bare bones, no frills rockabilly that spit tobacco juice in the face of over-produced, studio-wrangled albums. Taking a traditional approach stylistically, The Reverend Horton Heat serves up a sonic cocktail of equal parts rockabilly, country, swamp, surf, blues and swing -- so insanely patent it'll have you feeling single, seeing double and begging for another dose.

RETAIL:
A 7" single featureing Sue Jack Daniel's and The Rev's cover of Sinatra's It Was A Very Good Year will be available as a value-add.

TOURING:
- 55 date set-up tour December through March.
- Continuous touring throught 2000!

FYI:
The title track Spend A Night In The Box references the classic Paul Newman prison flick Cool Hand Luke, about "the man who refused to conform". I highly recommend checking it out. Buy the movie!
